About Me

40+ Years in Education as a Middle School Science Teacher - Digital Innovator Since Reading Seymour Papert’s Children’s Machine 1993; enjoyed the curricular freedom of working at an Independent School since 1987. Currently, hoping to leave classroom to work on larger projects related to preparing today’s generation of students for a world no one in education saw coming a few decades ago.

Friday, Feb 3
1. Visual Narrative for Teachers 9:30am–12:30pm
  - Filmmaking for Teachers*
    
    Join us in 605 to work with students and faculty of SLA’s CTE Digital Video program to learn how to design and manage video projects in your classes. This three-hour interactive workshop has a limit of 30 participants. Please sign up by clicking the link above.
2. Welcome 10am–3pm
  - Spend the day at Science Leadership Academy!
    
    SLA-Center City will be open for visitors from 10am to 3pm. Visit classes, talk to students and teachers and meet up with EduCon friends old and new!
    
    You do not need to sign up to visit SLA - Center City High School.

    We are excited to have you visit us at SLA-Middle School on 2/3/23.
    - SLA Middle School is located at 3610 W Warren Street. Our entrance is off of Warren Street and our school is located on the 2nd floor of the building
    - We are near the 34th and Market train/El stop and across the street from the 10 trolley stop at 36th street
    - Please make sure you have your EduCon badge with you when you arrive.
