Olivia Vazquez is a Mexican immigrant community organizer and educator based out of South Philadelphia who migrated to the United States when she was 10 years old. Through her time as an intergenerational community leader and organizer, Olivia’s work has focused on issues of sanctuary, detention, and deportations. In education, Olivia’s work has focused on the school to prison and deportation pipeline, the policing and criminalization of youth, language access in schools for parents and students, and equitable funding for students of color. She is a co-teacher in the STRIPES program.
