Building an Openly Licensed World Civilizations Curriculum

Session 3
Bill Fitzgerald — FunnyMonkey

The goal of this session will be to make progress toward a comprehensive World Civilization curriculum that is largely project based and inquiry driven. This session will build on the initial scaffolding created for the K12 Open Ed conference, where we assembled the initial building blocks of an openly licensed curriculum. The content of this session will be appropriate for all grade levels, and the time in the session will be focused on creating and making the curriculum.

Conversational Practice

As described above, this session will be a working session. All participants will be researching, organizing, writing, and publishing. This work can begin before the session, and continue after the session. If this session is accepted, I will create communal workspaces in Google Docs for collaborators.

The goal of this session is to provide an opportunity for interested participants to meet face to face to continue work that began asynchronously.
